JOB LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid/Remote)
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,000 – $80,000 per annum (subject to change based on individual education, skills, and experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Cybersecurity Analyst I acts as a liaison between the Cybersecurity Analyst II/ III and Manager, Cybersecurity or designate, to analyze, recommend, and implement cybersecurity controls and programs for new and existing systems tailored to project and client objectives. Leveraging their knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices, the incumbent will identify system vulnerabilities and suggest effective solutions. Under the direction of the Manager, Cybersecurity, the Cybersecurity Analyst, I will support the delivery of secure, reliable, and effective protocols to safeguard the functionality and integrity of critical operation system controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project specific duties to include:
- Assist with the creation/review of policies and supporting procedures/processes to identify gaps.
- Assist with monitoring and tracking of audit engagements to include coordinating with necessary stakeholders, crafting responses for review and approval.
- Assist with the review, analysis and provision of guidance for Information Assurance Vulnerability Management compliance scans on networks & computing devices.
- Other security-related projects that may be assigned according to skills such as assist in maintaining the Information Security Risk Registry.
- Develop working knowledge of information system standards such as American Public Transportation Association (APTA), US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), etc.
General duties to include
- Assist with document management and control.
- Assist with reviewing design documents and drawings.
- Assist with verification and validation between construction and engineering design documents.
- Assist with resolving interface issues that may arise for installation of systems.
- Review documents related to systems integration, engineering, and cyber security (technical and non-technical) documents.
- Assist with project pursuits and scope requirements
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ year’s experience analyzing and reporting on system vulnerabilities and functionality.
- Self-starter with the ability to show significant initiative
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large/complex datasets, recognize patterns, and extract meaningful insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to translate complex technical information into familiar language terms.
- Effective communication skills to convey findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional command of the English language in technical writing both spoken and written in all communications and presentation settings.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively problem-solve using critical thinking and contingency planning.
- Ability to support multiple projects and prioritize engineering tasks according to established timelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster collaborative working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in project teams, as required.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Four (4+) year Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar discipline.
- Post graduate diploma or certificate in Cybersecurity or IT security management.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent considered an asset.
